I am new to reborning. I have inherited several reborn dolls, and I would like to repaint them. I know that Genesis paint was used on them. How can I remove it?
The best product is Windsor & Newton Brush Cleaner and Conditioner. It will clean the paint and not harm your vinyl. You can use Acetone but it damages the vinyl… What ever you use be sure to wash the pieces very will in Dawn dishwashing liquid again. Use an old soft toothbrush to get into the creases.

Besides what @lynn said, you can also use Goof Off–both the wipes and the spray. I think they carry it at hardware stores. A toothbrush would be really helpful to get into small cracks. Definitely make sure to soak the kit in warm soapy water before you start your base coat–just to make sure all the chemicals are off. Hope this helps!
Goof off damaged one of my babies vinyl. It turned her shiny and parts of her vinyl started peeling off…it was horrible…
