If you like to sculpt and have fifteen minutes to spare, this is an awesome video.:
I could watch that all day long.
I pretty much have! I’d love to join the “University” she mentions in the info below, but it’s expensive…
I can get to “scary”. Then my clay gets too gooey. (It’s hot here today for Washington.)
Next year at ROSE we should have a sculpting day! Gooey is a major problem around here too, I’ve taken to sculpting in the basement.
I sculpt for half an hour then stick the sculpt in the fridge and repeat until I want to scream! I made some progress on my head today, but not enough to want to show it, LOL and at the moment she has no ears because in a fit of pique I cut them off like Vincent Van Gogh!
Haha! I save the ears til last. I’ve found it useless sculpting any details til the very end as I always just end up squishing them on accident.
Lesson learned!
Not that I am experienced but I waited for the ears also. But baked too long. Lol. Poor Crispin.
Oh I can’t wait to see!! I sculpted a plankton from Spongebob for my daughter a few weeks ago, she got a Spongebob Playset and it didn’t have plankton and I said, “I know, i can make you one!” It was hard enough and he’s just a green oblong shape with arms, legs and antlers. I don’t have the skills to try a baby! Haha!
Well, plankton’s important. ( Isn’t he?)
That was incredible! Oh my goodness the perfect baby lips!!! I love that wooden tool she used!
I think it must be a small version of that tool. I have some, but they are all too big for a mini, I think. The lips are just amazing. It is so hard to work small. I’m playing with a small head and a full sized head at the moment. I’m debating starting over again as I am not too pleased with my big head. I hoped to at least get to something I was willing to share, but no luck yet. I love sculpting when it goes well.
