Who here does donation babies for special needs children or dementia patients?

I did a couple .
I do weight them light usually with a bit of plastic pellets (weight the head to but lightly ) in the nursing home they hold the doll a lot so shouldn’t be heavy ) , painted hair ,no magnets. Easy to put on cloths , possible zipper, velcro or bigger buttons. I do wrap it in a blanket. I don’t ad anything extra that can be lost etc.

I donate dolls I try and do half sale and half donate so I can save for more supplies
Do you have a kid you will be doing one for the holidays?
I plan on donating 2 dolls for the holidays
Then next month my cousins mom just died so I’ll be donating 1 to cousin daughter who like 8-10 age randge
So in October I’ll have zuri, steven, and pearl for Taylor to choose from or cousin to choose to surprise Taylor with then other 2 dolls will be set aside as donate babies.
Also donating my time to paint a doll for friends friend. My friend bought kit I donating time to paint for loss of child.

Also donating a doll to a PT daughter. I’m bringing dean with me Tuesday and if he working I’ll hand to him to give to his daughter or if his truck not there I’ll be down that way again Thursday. Tuesday usually busy day so he is ussually there Tuesday’s

I’ll donate to care facility for that doll. Thank you i use heat set paints if paint needs to be added?

I have already cut the eye sockets and removed the eyes so it can be painted if you want. But it doesn’t have to be. I would say nail tips and creases. Maybe hair if you paint that. Enhance blush and lips. That was part of the investigation I did on it to see if eys can be removed. I will leave them out and you can glue the sockets back down after you put them back in. I will send it out on Monday. I will see if I have a preemie sleeper to send you with it. Anything else you need?

Do u have cloth body for her or what size do I need to order when I get paid to buy cloth body if needed.
It came with a body…kinda weird proportions but it has one. Probably will look ok in clothing.

Now I see why your post was edited. I thought you were just barking up a conversation. 
No I was trying to figure out what to do with this sample doll now that I have seen it and did a review. I want it to be finished up to be donated. I figured I would let someone else who is already doing donation babies have it. I have too many other things I have to get finished right now.

Oaklynn was on sale recently. I painted her to give to my 92 year old Momma. She’s a sweet kit I’ve painted before. I weighted her with poly pellets lightly and didn’t use any magnets. I’m hoping she goes on sale again for donations. Also, I love to do angel tree gifts. She would be nice for that

@katy777 I have been gone most all day today. My cousin’s 26 yo son died suddenly of an aortic aneurysm and we had the funeral today. I was too tired when I got home to go through all my stuff and gather what I wanted to send you so I will do it on my next day off which is Tuesday. I have to be at work all day tomorrow.
