I think I might have a problem

Elena sold and was paid for through PayPal. I sent her out today to the address on PayPal. When I got home, I sent an email to the customer, thanking her and giving her the tracking number. The email permanently failed as an invalid email address. Also, the PayPal address is listed as Baller Rd. but there is no Baller Rd in this city. There is a Haller Rd so I, in my naive (but strong) belief in the goodness of people, sent it to Haller Rd. Now I see that if there’s a problem the package has to have been sent to the address on file with PayPal. My son is insisting this is a scam but why would someone have it shipped to a non existent address? Does anyone else see a red flag here or do you think this is an honest mistake?

Run back to the PO and stop her.

Then contact PP and ebay and ask what to do.
If it is too late to stop the parcel leaving your PO, if the parcel has a tracking the postal service should be able to stop it from being delivered.

I agree with Ludmila. Let us know how this works out.

Also consider the possibility that your buyer is just slack and did not check the address they give out for typos, and forgot to update their email address. believe you me, half my buyers have wrong post codes, misspell the suburb they live, put the name of their town/suburb in the wrong box etc., which all means the eBay label will not print. I am sick of spending my time working out what is correct. Don’t these people realise that the address they are entering is the address that will be used for delivery of their parcel?!

I am an EMT and a 911 dispatcher. You would be surprised to know how many adults have no idea where they live.

Keep us posted! The payment went through…I would definitely call PayPal and have then note your account!

I hope that this was all just a mistake on the buyers part and that everything works out good in the end.

My gut feeling is that it’s an honest mistake because I just can’t figure out why anybody would pay for something and have it shipped to a nonexistent address. Plus, h is right above b on the keyboard so it would be easy to hit the wrong key. I hope I’m right. I’ll let you know.

Try to email again. I have had messages bounce back with permanent error only to go through later.

I bet your right Jean!

You can also get in touch with ebay (if you sold it through Ebay) and they usually have a phone number for most everyone…(Maybe not all but most) There is always a possibility that they have one for your buyer and will give it to you to contact them…I have done this before…the only trouble I see with you sending it to Haller instead of Baller is that Paypal only protects the seller if the parcel is sent to the address listed on paypal…hopefully this won’t matter…most likely it’s someone who either made a error in typing or forgot to update their info…BOL…please keep us posted
