I really need customer support advice— update and Thank you all ❤️

Hi everyone. I haven’t been in lately as It’s been a rough 2 weeks. I need the beat advice you guys possibly have to a situation. I have a custom that I started on July 12th. Her due date is set for October 4th. It’s a custom 7m June. I mentioned at the beginning that I do biweekly updates. Which for me is every other Sunday. I sent an update on Aug 15th that I was starting the rooting process. I sent the first pictures that show today showing rooting so far. I received a message from my customer that is shown below and my response. I’m wondering if there is anything else that maybe I can do to help in this situation. I’m not sure of what might be expected as I’ve never had this happen.
A little backstory to me as I know it doesn’t matter to the customer but I figured I’d put it here. I’ve had a extremely heavy cycle for two months straight that has left me chronically fatigued already on a just diagnosed hypothyroidism. I went to obgyn Friday and they did an endometrial biopsy to check for cancer, and she has mentioned my options more than likely will be a d&c with ablation or a hysterectomy. And bc of blood loss I will possibly need a transfusion. I waiting on results still. To top it off my oldest daughter thought she was miscarrying my first grandchild. I tell you when it rains it pours. It’s been a rough two weeks. I really don’t know if I responded in the best way and I really want a happy customer, but I also don’t wanna stress anymore as it flares my anxiety and I’m already having breathing difficulties. I just didn’t know where to turn. Apologies that it’s dragged out and thank you for taking the time to read and offer any advice you can give. These are not issues that should affect my work but unfortunately they are and she has prepaid for her baby and has been very nice during our previous conversations.

I don’t understand her complaint. She thought the hair would be done? If the hair would be done, you could have the entire reborn shipped out within a week! It’s only August, not October like you said.

First, my hopes and prayers that your health will improve and you will get positive results from your tests. Those issues are certainly enough to cause you stress and interrupt anyone’s work life. Anyone should be understanding of this. I know you probably didn’t tell her this and it’s not her place to know unless you wish for her to know. I hope your daughter has no more scares with her pregnancy as well and she delivers a healthy baby.
I think that you were very generous to offer weekly updates and that if the customer wants more than that she can just want. Your due date is stated as Oct. 4th and as you said you will have her rooted by then. That is plenty of time and then she can offer her opinions about her satisfaction or dissatisfaction then. You will have time to correct things she may not like. It sounds like she is wanting you to be done before the due date and is trying to pressure you. Don’t let her do that to you. Your health is way more important than her disappointment in your rooting pace.

Thank you. I am really hoping for good results as well. I’ve been in tears all week. I know I’ve had my kids so the hysterectomy should be ok but it doesn’t feel that way. I think not being able to breathe lately has been the scariest, but I’ve been working on the baby’s hair. Just not as much as I wanted to get done. My daughter has an appt tomorrow so we are really hoping for the best. The drs mentioned they didn’t no about the viability bc her hcg levels are really high and she’s had severe nausea. She just moved to San Antonio so I can’t get to her n that’s stressful as well. Thank you again though for your advice. I normally don’t offer refunds, but I wasn’t sure if maybe that’s what’s appropriate in this case.

Your answer to her was perfect. Does she know that the hair is rooted one or two hairs at a time and takes considerable hours to root a head? Since she is not expected to be finished until October, it looks to me like you are way ahead of schedule and she just does not realize the hours and hours that go into creating a reborn.

I would also like to add that I had the same female problems that you are going through. After my ablation, I had 2 light periods and then quit forever. I consider it the best thing I ever could have done.

It’s not even September yet! I think you responded in the nicest way possible and your offer of weekly updates was more than fair for a baseless customer complaint.

I’ll keep you guys in my prayers. I was waiting on pins and needles for the results of a biopsy that was supposed to take three days and took two weeks to come back. I don’t know if the labs have been effected by Covid or it was just a fluke but don’t freak out like I did if it takes a bit longer.

And congratulations on your first grand baby!!!

@CarolinaCuties she has multiple reborns, I’m not sure of how long it takes others to root but since I only do 1-2 hairs it does take me awhile. Thank you for telling me about the ablation. I’ve been on YouTube and it’s probably not the best place when searching medical stuff.

Oh wow that long. She told me she put them in stat and would have results Friday evening, but maybe that’s what is going on bc I didn’t receive the call from her telling me to go get the transfusion like she said. I’ve been drinking green drinks since Friday. I don’t know if it will work but It seems to be helping. I couldn’t walk from my bed to the bathroom without help. And thank you I’m very excited for her. I don’t think I was this anxious about my own pregnancies.

Lol I have one of those voices too.

If they were ordered stat surely it won’t take that long. When was she supposed to notify you about the transfusion? If you are feeling so weak you need assistance to walk I would definitely call the office and get clarification. They should have an answering service on the weekend that can call your doctor with questions.

@ZeldaDawn She mentioned Friday evening bc two weeks ago my levels were 11 and by the time I made it to her office on Friday I was having difficulty breathing and walking made it worse. Bc I was still having blood loss she was afraid my levels were near 7. I told her it could have been my asthma and anxiety but she thought differently. Today is way better though. I made it into my kids room. It’s across from mine, but before it was crazy difficult.

When is the last time they drew labs? Do you know what your heart rate is? Have you felt lightheaded or dizzy? Not trying to be nosy, I just got kicked into nurse mode. I would call them anyway and describe your symptoms.

First I would like to say that I am so sorry you are dealing with all of this stress right now! That must be terrifying worrying about your health and your daughter health as well.

I would like to commend you on the way you responded to the customer- I doubt I would’ve been about to respond as calmly as you did.
She is ABSOLUTELY being unreasonable. You gave her a time frame, it’s not evenSEPTEMBER!
And so what, maybe you don’t work on the hair for two weeks at a time- that shouldn’t matter, as long as it is done in time, I mean, I tell my customer give me 6 weeks.
I might not even touch the dollfor 4 out of the 6 because I have other things to do.
The customer is absolutely being unreasonable.

I just finished a customers THICK haired 7 monthjune and that ALONE is stress. It took me forever to do and because of that I sold my other large kitsoff because I don’t want to do that again any time soon.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with all of this stress.

@ZeldaDawn I’m not sure of my heart rate. They did labs Friday though. They said my blood pressure was unusually high. I always have excellent blood pressure. Don’t know what that means. I’ve been dizzy and light headed. I can’t go from sitting to standing at my normal pace and I’m out of breath when I talk. I used my emergency inhaler last night bc it was really bad, I almost fell when walking, and My husband kept trying to take me to the emergency room. It could have been anxiety. I’m not sure but I didn’t wanna go to be looked at weird. They do it whenever I take my daughter for anxiety. I’m taking your advice though and I’ve called the office to the dr on call.

@katieperry I’m happy that she went and looked at her invoice. She’s always been very nice about her updates, so this was out of the blue and with everything going on I started to wonder what my options were gonna be. Last thing I want is for someone to think I’m not putting forth any effort into their baby. This June is supposed to have A full head of curly ponytails and I think like you I will be selling off my big kits or at least putting them back for a year or so.

Prayers for you and your daughter for positive outcomes. I think your and was extremely polite.
