I thought it would just use it outside and the dirt doll just watch it close. It should be ok.

Once it is dry it will be fine, if there was any residual dampness that would dry out with the first bake. I once dropped a phone into bath, got it out, dried it with hair drier, and left above heater for few days and it was fine.
