I decided to paint again, did little orders in lots of places and now BB is having a body sale! Grrrr… if things go the way they do then tomorrow they will have a sale on the kits I kinda like after I have placed my order.
I just ordered a little on sale baby I have never painted Oaklyn. I usually avoid babies with eyes that are close together but I am going to give it a try. Anyone else painted this little baby?
I just realized I have painted every single Realborn bountiful baby ever made (open and closed eye versions some many times) except Mary, Carol, Trent and Ethan, have not painted them yet. After I place this order and they go on sale, I may have to grab them! ![]()
I have never taken to the open eyed versions, I have painted them all but none I have loved. I always love sleeping versions, have my favorites and have my not-so favorites. I love the big fat chubby babies with chunky thighs and kissy lips but they take so long to bake and big babies need rooted hair, that is way too much rooting for me, but they are so adorable.
I notice all kinds of silicone action. So many people on the Sili train, so many kits and supplies available. I took a class several years ago and I have forgotten everything I learned, I have notes somewhere. I am not sure I want to dump a bunch of money into the process when I only have a limited amount of time to paint but it seems exciting.
For those of you who are new-ish. I have been on a little baby hiatus but when I am back on forum I am chatty. It is so quiet here we need to make some good trouble. Maybe I will do a fun get-to know-you poll and see who is who.
Karen, Sheila, Michelle, Jenni, Cherie, Pia, Cierra… and a few other long timers are lurking around, pick their brains, they are reborn encyclopedias, some of them were making reborns before bountiful baby! They know things, lots of things! (all the gossip too, and oh there has been a lot of that!).
Joy is my neighbor, nice to see her sculpting and doing well. This is the first time having a dolly artist close by. It is strange knowing we can borrow a cup of emergency glass beads in person. I will be painting one of her kits finally, it will be fun for sure.
Let’s liven things up around here a little. It summer, sales are slow, lets play.
