First doll show!

I decided to go to DOTWE as it’s in driving distance and my boyfriend, the good sport he is, said he would go with me so I wouldn’t have to go alone and it would be our summer trip. So since it’ll be the first doll show I’ve attended I have some questions for those of you who have been to more!
Can I still enter the contest even if the awards ceremony is sold out?
What’s the best way/type of carrier do you use to carry around a baby on the floor?
Are purses/bags allowed and is there a size limit?

I’m super excited to go to my first doll show and see some of you there!

I wanna say the only banned or limited things are no strollers, one customer owned baby on the floor at one time and they need an ankle band from the show and purchased babies need documentation before leaving the floor.

We haven’t decided on vacation yet. I might see if hubby would want to go to NC, then I could spend the day at my first show too!

Yes you can, you don’t have to be present at DOTWE Award Dinner to receive the awards.

I would not recommend to carry your baby on the show floor. Keep you hands free to move freely. There are so many people at the DOTWE and this year will be even more, per Bobbi. Bring your baby to the night gatherings.

Small bags are allowed on the show floor.

I used a wearable baby carrier so my hands were free. You might be able to find one at a thrift store or use a scarf as a wrap to carry your baby. At the events I hung the carrier on the back of my chair. You’re going to love it!

I could be mistaken, I thought the contest were for the vendors only? But yes, so glad you’re coming to the show! It’s so fun! I’ll be there, table 55! :slight_smile:

I havent went but I think it is open to anyone.

If you want to verify for sure though you can contact Bobbi or Melody (I know Bobbi responds on FB well)

Oh thats right, anyone can enter, but only vendors can sell their dolls from the contest at the show. Sweet!
