Exciting news...I sold my first baby!

Im so excited, I listed my little Megan on Halloween and I had one lady take her but then cancel so I relisted her. Yesterday I had two questions about her and this morning someone bought her for 100 euro, my asking price
I finally decided on a nursery name right before I listed her, Little Zebras Reborn Nursery. I, and my three daughters, have a connective tissue disease called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and we are known as Zebra’s in the medical community so I thought this a fitting name. I would, eventually, like to start donating some of the money from my reborn to EDS research and I will send something Zebra (blanket, lovey, clothes) with every baby, plus EDS awareness literature.
I owe so much of my ideas to you guys and I buy most of my kids here from BB even though I live clear over here in France ;). So thank you all!
There are pics of Megan on the WIP thread. I hope her new Mommy loves her

Félicitations ! Le nom est parfait, c’est une bonne idée !
Je ne connais pas cette maladie, je vais faire une petite recherche, ça m’intrigue.
Bonne chance avec vos projets!

Congratulations! It is exciting, especially when you know someone else is excited to receive something you created. I love the painting, but I think I love when I make someone else happy with my work even more.

Thank you
It makes me happy when Im able to inspire awareness. I had my husband read your comment because I actually don’t speak or read much French LOL. I am American, he’s French. We met and married in California and moved here in 2010. One would think i would learn to speak better French, but I don’t. It may be my medications that interfere with my ability to learn. Both of my younger kids (I had three kids before from my first marriage) speak both French and English and thats pretty amazing considering they both have Autism and my youngest did not speak until she was 3 and only after intense therapy…still my husband always spoke French to them, from the time they were both born

I wholeheartedly agree

Whwn you say you are living in France, I assume you speak french ! That’s my bad ! My oldest son have autism too, he is Asperger. They have an amazing faculty to learn ! That’s a good thing they learn both langage, it’s open their world.

Yes, Im very happy they speak both languages and read both, as well :). My son has Asperger type and my daughter has more classic type. One of my older daughters is also diagnosed as am I ;).

Congratulations! Nice name for your babies!

My Mom and her siblings spoke both as children but forgot how to speak French as they got older. I spoke french as a child as my step father was stationed in France when I was very young. (Showing my age, lol.) Any way I don’t remember any of it. I wish I did though.

I think its easy to forget if you don’t use it. My husband would sometimes forget what something was called in French while living in the US and he is VERY French LOL
