Almost 9 years into reborning and I’m finally getting another method of baby baking besides my every day oven…I know, this should’ve happened a LONG time ago, but what’re ya gonna do. Anyways, this lady has a brand new one and wants rid of it, and wants me to do babies for her, so we’re gonna work out a trade!! Anyways, Advice from trial and error for a newbie nuwave owner?
A word of caution----NuWaves only cost about $100 so be careful of the negotiating you do, I’m sure you will have more money in your babies than that. Hope it works for you, the NuWave is the ONLY reborning oven to have IMO. Make sure you get the extender ring or the Nuwave won’t be any good to use for reborning, the parts would be too close to the heating element. Be sure to use an oven thermometer inside the oven so you can watch the temperature. I cook on Power Level 7 for 8 minutes. I also let my parts cool down in the oven. Go to the spyglass and type in NuWave and you will get lots of info this has been discussed in great detail here. Good Luck.
Congratulations! And ditto to what Lynn said.
Thank you!! She’s actually gonna supply the kit and everything I need to do the baby too, so I think it’s probably a good deal. And here’s a pic of the one she’s supposed to send me. Can you tell if I need the extender ring or if its maybe in there?
The extender ring is in the pic.
Awesome! Thanks
Sounds like a good deal to me. Can we see the first baby you bake in your new oven?
Absolutely! I always share my finished babies anyway
Sweet deal, can’t wait to see your first baby
A word of caution…be mindful of the extender ring heating up. That particular model has had its share of issues with melted exterder rings. The newer version externder ring is metal. I had one like the one youre getting, and personally never had any melting issues, mine just died out because it was old (it was 2nd hand from a yard sale). I love the my new pro plus nuwave for baking vinyls, but i also have a magic chef brand that i use for clay mods on my bjds. It has a plastic extender ring that hasnt melted either… but it gets much hotter than the rest of the unit, so I do watch it more closely just in case. The magic chef version only cost 30 bucks at home depot and im sure would work perfectly fine also for the reborn babies.
I have a plastic extender ring, too, and it’s been fine, so far.
It came today!!! I’m so excited!!! Only problem is now I want another one for my food lol
