Equal trade value?

How would you determine a equal trade value? Is it solely based on artwork or rather the doll is SOLE? Considering trading my Walter sculpt for a doll with painted hair I just can’t with mohair lol. Wanting to make sure I am doing everything correctly. As of right now I am clueless.

I think you got your Walter hair under control
Or it still unruly?

It is whatever you deem him worth, so long as you and the other person agree

Honestly wish I did. That is the only downfall of my doll. He is the first doll I’ve had with mohair so honestly I don’t know what’s the norm as far as mohair goes… It just gets tangled in the back of his head. Surpringly no hair loss lol.

Hmmm, I was debating to root or paint hair on LouLou. Now that you said that and she is a sleeper, I’ll paint it. I think rooting looks good on bigger awake/ sitting babies.

It depends on the mohair used and the way it’s rooted. Cheaper mohair tends to tangle more, and of course longer hair gets more tangled

Oh ok well that makes sense. I obviously don’t know the mohair that was used it’s the weirdest texture it’s almost too soft and rooted kind of weird in the back not really a defined swirl which probably has nothing to do with it.

I can’t do mohair either. The first doll I bought was rooted and the hair drove me crazy. Always getting messed up in back where she laid on it. I thought it must be bad mohair and/or not directionally rooted. I pulled it all out, bought high quality mohair and sent it off to a wonderful rooter. She came back looking beautiful with a swirl and perfect directionally rooted hair. As soon as I laid her in the crib her hair was messed up in back. I ended up either selling her or giving her away, I can’t remember and ever since then it is all painted hair for me except for my 2 toddler dolls.
