Does anyone know if this could be a BB kit..?

Something strange…recently I bought this kit from a forum member…good price with some other nice things also.

Today I began to REBORN this kit but found it strange that there was no year or name of the kit on the neck as we usually see with BB kits…

So I mentioned this to the seller who said she got it from BB …the body that came with this kit is from BB…

My question is can this kit be a BB kit…I sincerely doubt it but why then would BB ship this kit to the seller…??

I took a few photos so maybe someone here can help solve this mystery…

Pretty sure it is Riley Peterson and is a BB kit. She has full arms and full legs and is a larger kit. The photo you posted is Morgan and she is by the same sculptor as is Shyann.

All I can find with the kit number is this one but it doesnt say name either. :confused: But I do think it is Riley

I am pretty sure the limbs are Riley’s and the head too.

The photo of the 2 heads that I posted is the one I received with the kit with numbers that match the legs…the other photo with a black background is the actual BB photo of Riley…!!..I have never seen BB kits with numbers such as these…usually the name of the kit and the year it was produced are marked on the BB kits…I am really confused here…:frowning:

My Holly kit and Cici kits that are older only have numbers on their limbs but their neck flanges say the name, year, number, or Bountiful Baby. But not just the numbers like the limbs.

I have reborned Riley before…and the arms and legs I have with the kit we are talking about look the same…it’s the head that just doesn’t seem to match…

When this Doll is reborned I want to be sure that I sell her as the correct Doll…just know the photo of the 2 heads do not look alike.

Here is the Riley I did awhile back.

what about calling them and asking tomorrow? You can ask what Riley’s item number is and if/when It only said the numbers on the kit…

This is the exact same kit as I have now with the same number and the head looks similar to Riley’s head but like Michelle said…there may have been changes made to the kit and that may explan the differences…

I don’t think BB has been marking their kits with the company name for forever? Maybe you got an older Riley kit.

The vinyl looks really pink too…it may be one of their super old pink Riley kits (before they switched vinyl colors), and in that case I wouldn’t worry.

It definitely looks like Riley but it looks as if the head has been melted somewhat.
