Gorgeous and desert do not go together for me. I like lakes and forests and green, green, green. My Aunt lived in Tucson so I went their several times. The best part for me was air conditioning and swimming pools. But you’re right. The people are very nice.
Flagstaff is only a couple hrs from me. Pine trees, moutains, snow. Also 15 minutes from a lake. I love AZ

I have been in New Mexico and South Fork Colorado since last Tuesday and I would love to not go back to the heat in Oklahoma. Headed home tomorrow, but this is the view from the deck at our friend!s house.

That’s gorgeous, Pia! I wouldn’t want to leave, either. 
We got home about 9:30pm on Monday and it is close to 100 degrees in Oklahoma. Sure hot after the high in Colorado and New Mexico while we were there was 77 degrees,
