Correcting weirdly long arms on 3/4 limb kits

I got a few kits on sale at BB before I had even completed my first doll. I prefer to buy full limbs now because my 3/4 kits look like they have super long unnatural monkey arms. Is there any way to minimize that look? Does stuffing the shoulders more help? Are all 3/4 kits the same? Or maybe this is why they were on sale??:expressionless:

I don’t know the answer to your question but I am also wondering about the kind of weird arm length too.

Those BB bodies are disproportionate and the arm caps are too far back. Shortening and narrowing the limb caps helps.

Depends on the kit…
I think the ones with 3/4 arms AND legs look okay… but ones with 3/4 arms and full legs the arms either look long or the legs look short…

If you can sew you could try to shorten them. I wouldn’t stuff them more, though. They’ll look like linebackers.

:joy: I’m not looking to make long armed linebackers!

I’ll give that a try. It’s better than losing out on the kits. Thanks:-)

Have you thought about purchasing just the full limbs? The investment is a bit more, but worth it. I hate reborning a kit I’m not fully happy about.

Except for the Realborn bodies the BB bodies don’t fit well. I buy mine elsewhere because I don’t want to invest all that time and effort and have my baby look like a bodybuilder doing bust exercises.

:joy: LOL! I have never tried buying from anywhere other than BB. I checked out Macphereson and the kits are beautiful but a little more than I’m willing to invest at this skill level. Do you have any other go to’s for kits. It’d be good to compare.

Dolls By Sandie has some good ones. You can buy just the body without buying a kit.
