This is also a great idea for drying your brushes and allows the water to drain out of the barrel of the brush which makes your brushes last longer. I’m always trying to prop my brushes up on something to get the water to drain downward. I think I’m going to give this a try. Thanks for the idea.

You could use pipe insulation also, it already has the cut down the side… so you would only need the slits.
