Cloudy eyes example #2

I probably wouldn’t use it personally but it is up to the reborner…I guess we really never know on some of the thing we do till years down the road…so I have seen the air dry go off after a few years, at this point I have not seen the Aleena’s when used on the vinyl parts of the dolls go off (Only the actual eyes) but the oldest doll I have with the Aleena’s is 7 years old…so far so good…he has been in all types of weather, though I keep my home at an even temp when I am here, the air cons have been off when we are not home for days at a time and the Aleena’s has held up well thus far…years down the road, I can only hope it will be the same…we all age though don’t we? hahahaha so will be interesting to see how ‘gracefully’ our reborns pass from one decade to another…

Thank You Starr, I guess I had better get out and pick up some Paper Glaze!

I use air dry BB gloss for nails and mouth and had never problem with that. For the eyes I used ModPodge Dimensional Magic and that clouded. It was applied all over the eyes and looked great when new. I then tested some other recommended products and was not happy with any of them, but all soaked off in water.

So what do you use now Ludmila for glossing your nails and lips etc???

I still use the BB airdry for nails and lips; still have the bit left in the original jar I got 6+ years ago. Never peeled on any of my keepers, or sold dolls as far as I know. But I only put on very thin layer. I do not like the high gloss look that needs several layers. I do not seal the eyes in anymore, but I use Lauscha crystal eyes for most of my dolls, and they are beautiful and shiny as they are.

Me too, I still have some left which will do lots of dolls yet. I don’t gloss eyes either, and like you I only put 1 thin layer on the nails and haven’t had a problem, but then I don’t sell and so I haven’t had any dolls abused!!! I am not a fan of the real high gloss on the nails either.
