Boo Boo Lavender

I’ve done it again…I paint my creases too deeply even with all the washes ect. Then I go to take her pictures today and Look at her legs :disappointed_relieved: Even with my daylight lamp I messed up big time.
I had detailed plans for her. I don’t have time to take her legs off and redo so she’s a boo boo baby.

Thank you Ladies! I think I’m going to tuck her away for when I have more time to try and fix all of that. Just in time for Christmas. I have enough reborns for sale for now.

Thank you Laura. I’m hoping to get creasing down someday. :disappointed_relieved:

I have the same problem with both blushing and creases and its why I love my Panpastel’s so much because I can just use some of the yellow ochre (with colourless blender) and it tones down the dark reds and purples and then I just revarnish over those spots. I would think if you are using Genesis you could use an air dry varnish, like the soft touch, over those spots.

Also, I agree, she looks lovely and she only has a couple spots that may be easily fixed with a bit of colour correction.

I must be missing something. I don’t see any reason to sell her as a boo boo baby. She’s beautiful.

I think she’s adorable. I don’t think she’s that much of a boo boo baby. I’d drop the price a little and list her.

If you don’t mind, where did you get your pan pastels from?

I bought mine on Amazon because there are not many places to buy them here in France. I used April Yap’s @sweetiepieapril free tutorial at first and bought all the colours she recommends and that was very helpful…Ive since picked up more colours and I also bought a set that had a couple of the colours from the tutorial and I found it was cheaper to buy the “tower” set of 10 than to buy the three colours I wanted separately.

I’ve used the PanPastels for a few yrs and love them. It takes a little time to get used to them because the colors are very vibrant. The colorless blender is a must to be able to tone down the colors. The color I use the most is the magenta shade along with the colorless blender. I purchased mine from dickblick online.

I like the magenta as well and the dark red. I have a light magenta as well that I really like.
