I happen to like the smell. What brand do you use? I like Downy. 
I use Snuggle Free Clear for “formula” but haven’t used it on the hair. Maybe I’ll try it.

There are lot of different fabric conditioners, and I am petty sure they all work the same. The one I paid $20 was, I am sure, Fluffy., which i later on mixed myself. But for the past couple of years I only use water. But I use Synthrapol to wash mohair.

I tried baby oil with no problem on my first reborn, but I prefer gel and detangler together more. It actually looks nicer to me. I see some people use leave in conditioner, however, always make sure to check if the ingredients contain alcohol since this can damage the paints. It happens to be in most conditioners and leave in conditioners purchased at the store.

How come the mohair wigs feel nothing like the mohair we buy to root with? Can they be conditioned the same way?

i try to put baby oil on a wig it, make it look bad,i used leave in conditioner on mine,it work pretty good.
I bought the jhonsons baby hair detangler spray… @kareninflorida advice:-) but I decided I don’t like wigs:-(

it work good on hair i love to smell it to jhonsons baby detangler spray work good when rooted i used it when i am rooted my baby and the mohar rooted a lot better,
