I like the Golden Polymer Matte Varnish because it has UVLS and I mix some corn starch and diatomaceous earth melted in water with it to make it more matte.

Where do you get that Angie? Do you have to send away for it? Hobby Lobby seems to have gotten rid of most of their artist paints EXCEPT some new label that I’ve never heard of----I think it’s suppose to be their brand now or something. It’s frustrating have to buy things on line and wait for them to get to you. Not to mention the shipping costs. @anjsmiles
DecoArt Dura Clear Ultra Matte Varnish also works very well. I apply it thinly with a brush and then blot it with a cosmetic sponge.

I order from Amazon or Dickblick.
I have used that product in the past straight from the bottle and liked it. I got a new bottle in last week and it is not as matte as my older bottle was. I find I now have to add corn starch to it if I want to use it on the doll. So I am using it straight to seal other things that I do not want quite as matte such as the painted hair.
