I found Dolls by Sandie has preemie diapers, various infant hospital outfits, classic hospital receiving blankets, plus hospital hats, booties, bracelets and mitts. I’d totally want these in my arsenal if I were a reborning artist.
Nice that you can order one thing at a time, 10 at a time, or hospital sets to accessorize outfits, without having to buy 100 blankets in bulk.
Some other fun and unique stuff to shop for too, and all shipping in the U.S. is the same cost regardless of order size.
I ordered two 3 piece sets to send my Mom’s reborns off in, blanket, hat, and booties. (Already bought basic onesies.)
Hope to get some pix of them dressed in their basics together before I get them sent off.
I’ve ordered hospital basics from her before too. And her site has always been my favorite for eyes and other accessories. But I refuse to support her site anymore. She knowingly and willingly helped the China scammers by selling a knock off Saskia. She then justified her reasoning. But there is NO justification for such unethical business in my opinion.
There was another reply also that was sent out if I remember correctly that was defending the action even more. It was sent out by one of the daughters. I too will be shopping with other retailers especially after seeing what Bonnie Brown posted and how much stolen copies of her kits effect her.
Bonnie Brown has really been ripped off in the China scams and now the thing with Dolls By Sandie. I feel for Bonnie. She has worked so hard and is so talented.
Kate, yes, there was a letter from her daughter. The daughter claimed that none of them were familiar with Saskia, and so they didn’t recognize the knock-off kits they received and sold. I’m sorry, but someone has to be truly living under a rock to have never seen Saskia. Her kit is one of the most popular in all reborn history, and her kits are everywhere. So popular that now China is trying to get rich off them and have illegally copied the kit for some time now. For a well known doll supply place to say they were not familiar with the Saskia kit, that’s just not plausible. DBS owes Bonnie an apology and needs to admit what they did was wrong. It would be better in the long run to just apologize rather than continue the denial.
I agree. There is no way a reborn kit retailer didn’t know what Saskia was especially since they carry some of Bonnie’s kits already. I feel that it was a cover to blame it on lack of knowledge. The daughter who wrote that email said that she has been working with her mom (Sandie) for 13 years. If you have been around for 13 years, IMO you have to know what one of THE most popular kits is. They most definitely owe Bonnie an apology. I think they also need to refund those people who bought those kits unknowingly. The whole thing is a mess and just plain disappointing.

If they bothered to try to make a quick buck out of what was a freebie to them, it doesn’t say much about the integrity of the company.
I understand being involved in a family run business, but that was a judgement call.
I remember when I saw this in a Facebook group. I commented, this can’t be dolls by sandie. I looked up the address n shownuff, it was her. I was shocked n kind of puzzled. Why would she sale fake stolen kits from China? I also read the post by Bonnie Brown. It’s sad that China n other countries get away with stealing N manufacturing these fake kits. After the sculptors did all the hard work. It’s really sad n terrible. I can’t believe they can get away with it. They also are ripping the buyers off. They’re not getting what they actually think they are buying. Shame on them.
