Neenee13

My name is Sherry but my first grandbaby called me “NeeNee” and it stuck for all of the 14 grandkids that followed. With 5 adult children and all those grands, I guess it’s easy to see I love babies! My oldest granddaughter told me about Reborns and how much fun she was having watching box openings on YouTube (right around Christmas - coincidence?). I checked it out and found SO many options but very little info on how to pick a good one. Reborn.com came up first on a search and one baby caught my eye. I couldn’t stop thinking about her as I tried to learn as much as I could about the Reborn phenomenon. Finally, I couldn’t stand it and ordered Bella Shalom from our very own Helen. Long story a little shorter, I kept Bella for myself, ordered another Christmas baby for my sweetie…and a little brother for Bella - also from Helen!

In one of my correspondences with Helen, she suggested I check out the Bountiful Baby forum and consider making one myself. Guess that was the beginning of the end and I’ve been studying the process - some say obsessed  - ever since!

I’m a crafter and a dabbler. I’ve taken some classes in Folk Painting but never really studied art. I play with crochet, but mostly to keep my hands busy while my honey watches Building Alaska or some Discovery Channel show. I piece tops for quilts but then take them to the long armer to quilt. To be honest, at my age, I’ve probably tried most of the standard creative outlets and thought I had honed in on simple crochet and sewing as my favorites. I should’ve know that there would be another little something that would catch my eye but I didn’t ever think it would be doll making. These little Reborns are something VERY special and I’m glad to be involved in such an extraordinary group of “enablers”
