I signed up for Square and was just wondering which device you guys use? Is the one that plugs into your phone good enough?

I use the one that plugs into your phone also. It’s pretty simple.

I have the one that plugs into my phone, I’ve only used it a few times for in person payments, I usually just use the invoice or checkout feature, or manual entry the one time I forgot my reader.
