Reborn Baths?

Is it safe for me to dip my babies toes and vinyl parts gently in the water to do a fun bath? I have sealed Ghsp with matte varnish?

no, I never would put finished dolls in water. they are not meant for that, no matter what they are painted or sealed with

Agreed— never use water. One thing you could do instead is put stuffing in a dry sink to make it look like a bubble bath!

I wipe my reborns with unscented baby wipes, and dry with a soft microfiber cloth.Never would I put them in water.

Baby wipes can contain alcohol that can damage the paint.

As someone with sensitive skin, I sometimes uses the wipes on my face. I also use them when I clean or wipe down my reborns, I personally had never had a issues with the the paint on my reborns.

Thanks everyone for the help!

if you are doing it for a photo shoot or a video and the baby won’t be submerged I think it would be fine. (be careful for harsh soaps).

The risk is getting any water inside the sculpt, moldy babies are not happy babies.

Be sure it isn’t a long soak and that you gently dry the baby off.
