Hi I just started my first kit. And as I’m painting her I noticed the wedge sponges I’m using are latex. I haven’t put her in the oven yet so I could possibly take the paint off if need be. I just wanna know why you can’t use latex?
I never knew that you can’t use latex and that is what I always used and preferred because it held the mottle pattern better for me. I have not been able to find them in the stores for quite awhile or I would probably still be using them. I will be following to see what others tell you.
You can’t use them with silicone kits but they are fine with vinyl.

I always thought it was because of folks’ latex allergies…

Ok I’m brand new to this so I was just making sure I wasn’t using something that I shouldn’t be. Cause I could have swore I seen somewhere that they were supposed to be latex free. And I thought I was using latex free until I actually saw latex on the package in tiny print.
