Linseed oil warning

Hey ladies! Just a heads up, I recommend using gloves if you use linseed oil. I got some on my thumb and didn’t wash it off right away and now I have a strange brown mark. First a layer of skin peeled off and then this odd spot. Anyway, I’ll be using gloves from now on and just wanted to let you all know about this  Good day to all!!!

I stopped using linseed oil when I read about spontaneous combustion.

Would you recommend to use it in a base layer? Do YOU use it? I’ve read several discussion here about to use or not to use - that is the question.

I have only used it about 5 times in over a year and that was on ethnic skintones to see if that helped with the blending being smooth

No I do not use it normally

Thank you so much, Jenni. I bought it because I saw it on recommended supply list, but after reading blogs and your input decided that it not necessary. Just want to do my best for my first reborn baby .

Did it help with blending? It looks like it keeps the paint smooth

I didnt notice much difference but I paint with thin layers

I have seen someone state that it fades paint later on faster but do not know the truth to that
