First layer

#1

What is the colors that you mix for the very first layer of paint on the baby?I don’t want to appear stupid but I’ve had three brain surgeries and my short term memory is a little fuzzy.
Thank you, Whisper

I almost always put a “green” wash on for the first layer. It make a real nice base for the flesh color. Take the lightest flesh you have and put just a tiny toothpick dot of green in it. Thin it way down and then sponge the baby with it.

There is really no right or wrong way to start! Some people do the flesh layers first…some do veins first and then do the flesh over them…I actually just did a baby with all the mottling first and then did the flesh over the mottling and really love the look it gave! I usually do one light flesh layer first thing though and then go from there…
