Dust on silicone before painting

bonjour
vous avez une astuce pour enlever les poussières et poils d’animaux qui sont sur le bébé en silicone avant de peindre ?

Hello
do you have a trick to remove the dusts and pet dander that are on the silicone baby before painting?

Welcom to the Forum! Sorry I can’t help you. Wish I could.

Before you start painting you could give them a little wash. I think you can do it between layers too once each layer is fully cured. And keep a pair of tweezers on hand while painting to pull any fluffs, hair or dust off before they get set in. I also saw someone putting a clear plastic storage tote over their entire workspace and the doll in between painting sessions to cut down on the debris that could settle on the doll. Good luck!

I had a conversation with Susan Gibbs who teaches silicon painting classes at IDTS show. She said that she covers the whole baby with plastic and only ‘opens’ area that she paints. Per her ‘silicon is a real dust magnet’. Perhaps you can message her with your question on FB https://www.facebook.com/jimenez.gibbs

no problem
thanks anyway
